The Village of Cochran's Crossing The Woodlands Texas
Cochran’s Crossing was founded in 1983 and named after the Cochran family in Montgomery County that once co-owned the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Company and much of the timbering land that became The Woodlands location of The (then) Woodlands High School. Like Grogan's Mill Village, Cochran's Crossing was also named after the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Mill. Cochran's Crossing is located in the lower mid section of The Woodlands, just above Bear Branch Sports Fields and the huge, Bear Branch Park / Sports fieldare nestled in northern edge of the heavily wooded village. Bear Branch Park includes a 2018-renovated Dog Park (one for larger dogs as well as one for smaller breeds), illuminated tennis courts, skate board/trick bike / wheel friendly area, the whale pool, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, picnic areas, a hockey ring, and the Township's Original Recreation Center.
This expansive, established village (1983) is the home of The Woodlands Country Club and the 27-hole Palmer golf course. Exemplary schools, several large parks, and a village shopping center make Cochran’s Crossing a very centralized and convenient location for family living.

Bear Branch Park is the home of The Woodlands Recreation Center and also features a barrier-free playground and two “bark parks”. Shadowbend Park also includes a swimming pool, playgrounds and play-fields. There are 21 public parks in the Village of Cochran's Crossing.

The restaurants in Cochran's Crossing Village are all located at Research Forest Drive and Gosling Road. There you will find the usual fast food locations such as Burger King, and McDonald's. In addition to these traditional drive thru's you can find Torchy's Tacos, Skeeter's Grill, Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen, Honey Bee Ham as well as Marble Slab for ice cream.

The Conroe ISD schools in Cochran's Crossing include Galatas, David and Powell Elementary schools (both grades K-4), Collins Intermediate School (grades 5 & 6) and The Woodlands High School (grades 10-12). Several large pre-schools and child care centers are found within Cochran's Crossing. The Village of Cochrans' Crossing is in the Conroe Independent School District.
