The 17th annual Woodforest Bank TRI - The Woodlands Texas is expected to be held on Saturday, May 09, 2020, at Northshore Park from 7 to 11:30 a.m. As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, the Woodforest Bank TRI is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and offers high-caliber competition, first-rate race management and scenic courses. The race features a field of more than 1,200 participants, ranging from beginners to nationally ranked triathletes. The event culminates with a festive awards party featuring music, great food and beverages.
The Woodforest Bank TRI is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event, and served as the Texas State Triathlon Championship in 2017. The race earned a Top 10 spot in the USAT South Midwest Region for Sprint Distance Triathlons in 2004, and was designated as the USAT South Midwest Region Sprint State Championships for 2007.

The Annual Triathlon event has earned a Top 10 placement in the USAT South Midwest Region for Sprint Distance Triathlons in 2004 and was designated as the USAT South Midwest Region Sprint State Championships for 2007. The event culminates with a festive awards party featuring music, great food, beverages and door prizes.
Directions to The Woodforest Triathlon
Each year through efforts of coordinators, participants and volunteers, 80 percent or more of waste on race day was diverted to recycling and compost-able businesses. For this year's event, race organizers will continue to improve their environmental responsibility efforts by asking participants, spectators and volunteers to ride-share or carpool to the event. The minimum age for participation in the Woodforest Bank Triathlon - The Woodlands is 13. Registration will be available online beginning January 1, 2019; In 2018, early registration cost for the 2017 race was ($110) for individuals, ($175) for relay teams and was available through January 3. Regular registration costs were ($120) for individuals, ($185) for relay teams and were be available January 4 - until sold out.

As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, the ever popular Woodlands Triathlon is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, offering high-caliber competition, first-rate race management and a scenic course. Previously known as the CB&I Triathlon, The Woodforest Bank TRI is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event and features a field of 1,400+ participants (easily filled). In 2018, CB&I moved its headquarters and relinquished the title sponsorship. Each year's participants range from beginners to nationally ranked triathletes, with several potential contenders on a waiting list. This event has reached capacity and sold out nearly every year,, the 2016 event for example, sold out in just 11 days!
Weather Cancellations This event is under a "no refund policy" in regards to weather cancellations of any kind as well as changes to the race after registration. Unforeseen changes can occur at any time no matter how finalized anything seems to be.
Refund Policy - 50 percent of your entry fee will be refunded until March 22, 2019. No refunds will be issued after this deadline. Refunds will not include USAT membership or 1 day fee, or Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing.
Registration fees listed here are for informational purposes only, and are subject to change without notice. All registrations must be completed by the registration deadline in late April, 2018 at midnight. Be sure to register as early as possible; the 1,400-person field has sold out every year since 2005.
