The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-mile race, 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K and One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run through The Woodlands will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at Northshore Park. These races are produced by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department and the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas race is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. Registration will open on January 1, 2019 for the 10 for Texas, 3.1 Armadillo Run and One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run. 

After the race, participants enjoy a Texas-sized post-race party in the park with a live band and fun for the whole family. This race event includes the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas (10 Mile),3.1 Armadillo Run (5K), & One 4 Texas (1 Mile Kids' Fun Run)
The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas race event offers participants a USATF sanctioned ten-mile course that winds through The Woodlands. All miles will be marked and all intersections staffed by contracted peace officers. Finish line clocks will display your unofficial time. If it is determined that a runner has left the prescribed race course, that runner shall be disqualified.
Hydration stations supplied with water and sports drinks will be located at the start and finish lines as well as along the race course. A dedicated ambulance service will be staged midway on the course and bike medics along the course.
Prizes are awarded in the following categories: Top Male and Female Overall; Top Male and Female Masters (age 40 and over);

Top three male and female participants in the following age groups: 14 years and younger, 15 - 19 years, 20 - 24 years, 25 - 29 years, 30 - 34 years, 35 - 39 years, 40 - 44 years, 45 - 49 years, 50 - 54 years, 55 - 59 years, 60 - 64 years, 65 -69 years, 70 years and up.

10 For Texas Run - Run The Woodlands

The 2019 Memorial Hermann Ten for Texas 10-mile race will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Northshore Park in Panther Creek Village. The race begins at 7:30 AM, immediately following the One 4 Texas Kids Fun Run at 7:00 AM. Race entries are capped at 3,100 participants for the 10 for Texas, and 300 kids in the One for Texas Fun Run. Online registration for the 2019 10 For Texas can be completed here; January 1 - October 11, 2019 entry fees are $70 per person,  Race Day Registration will be $75 (if not sold out) will close promptly at 7 a.m. If you are registering on Race Day, it is recommended to arrive an hour early in case of lines. What we're saying here, is, be sure to register early, as the 10 For Texas will most surely be sold out!

The 2019 Memorial Hermann Ten for Texas 10-mile race will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Northshore Park in Panther Creek Village. The race begins at 7:30 AM, immediately following the One 4 Texas Kids Fun Run at 7:00 AM. Race entries are capped at 3,100 participants for the 10 for Texas, and 300 kids in the One for Texas Fun Run. Online registration for the 2019 10 For Texas can be completed here; January 1 - October 11, 2019 entry fees are $35 per person,  Race Day Registration will be $40 (if not sold out) will close promptly at 7 a.m. If you are registering on Race Day, it is recommended to arrive an hour early in case of lines. One four Texas Fun Run

Competitor Eligibility

  • Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas is open to runners of all abilities. 10-mile and 5K are chip-timed events recommended for ages 10 and older.
  • All runners and walkers must maintain 16 minutes per mile to stay ahead of course closure.
  • After three hours the finish line will close, and the course will be completely opened to traffic per the Approved Traffic Control Plan.
  • One 4 Texas is an untimed, non-competitive 1-mile event, designed to promote fun and fitness for kids of all abilities and recommended for ages 5 and older.
  • All races will be capped to ensure safety and a positive race experience for all.

  • Runner NOT wearing a bib
  • Animals
  • Bicycles
  • Baby Joggers
  • Strollers
  • Roller Skatse
  • Roller Blades
  • Hand-crank chairs
  • Any wheeled vehicle other than wheelchairs

Wheelchair athletes must wear helmets in accordance with USA Track & Field guidelines (USATF). Headphones are permitted, but strongly discouraged. Please email the Township Offices if you have a question about what is or isn't allowed, or if you have any other questions regarding registration or fees.

Event Refund Policy

100 percent of your entry fee will be refunded until August 2, 2019. No refunds will be issued after this deadline. Refunds will not include Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing. Please email the Township Offices to request a refund.

Race Transfer Policy

Entry fees are not transferable between years. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Transfers must be completed by logging into your Active website account and selecting "my events". All transfers must be completed by September 20, 2019. If you need assistance with transfers, please email the Township Offices.

Race Weather Cancellations

We have a "no refund policy" in regards to weather cancellations of any kind as well as changes to the race after registration. Unforeseen changes can occur at any time no matter how finalized anything seems to be. Any changes made to the race are done after careful consideration, usually due to safety concerns that arise after the race has been planned. We do everything we can to create a better, safer, more enjoyable experience for all participants.

Race Purchase Event Protection

Booking Protect is offered through ACTIVE Network and provides insurance to participants so they can get their entry fees back if they can’t participate in running events for covered reasons. The product, called Booking Protect, is located in the registration path on Active and can be purchased on the Check-Out page. All claims and refunds will go through Booking Protect.

Traffic / Road Closure Information

Race day street closures are announced prior to the Memorial Hermann 10 For Texas race. Roads along the race route will have the outside lane closed to automobile traffic from 6:00 to 10:30 AM to accommodate runners in the 10 For Texas race. These roadways typically include: * Six Pines Drive: southbound, Lake Woodlands Drive to Timberloch Place * Riva Row: westbound, High Timbers to Grogan's Mill Road The inside lane of the following streets will be closed to automobile traffic from 6:00 to 10:30 AM to accommodate runners: * Grogan's Mill Road: northbound, Riva Row to Lake Woodlands Drive * Lake Woodlands Drive: westbound, Grogan's Mill Road to Cochran's Crossing Drive * Lake Woodlands Drive, eastbound, Cochran's Crossing Drive to Six Pines Drive The run will originate and end at Market Street. This area will be congested throughout the event. Please use extreme caution while traveling in this area. For more information please view the Race Map. From September 27 through October 2, 2018, calls to this number will be responded to within one business day. Between October 3 through 8, this number will be answered 24 hours a day.
