Summer-time in southeast Texas is known for the heat and humidity, so when it comes to indoor activities, The Woodlands Downtown area has a wide variety of things to do. During the school year and after, tweens can attend events at The Gorilla Hole and assorted spring break events including a number of summer camps across the area. Family friendly indoor activities also include bowling at Main Event, or Bowlero, games at Dave & Busters, or a movie at one of four area movie theaters.

Outdoor fun can be had at any of the over 150 public parks in The Woodlands, include watercraft rentals on Lake Woodlands at Riva Row, or Hughes Landing.
The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center is the next best thing to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splash Town in Spring for beating the summer heat. There are currently 5 individual, muli-screen theaters AMC, Cinemark, Cinepolis, and Xscape in or near The Woodlands Township. View and purchase fresh vegetables, hand crafted artisan goods, food trucks, a variety of other items from local vendors.
  • Farmer’s Market on Tamina – Open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm – FMoT family includes on-site restaurants and shopping and feature several vendors with food ready to eat on-site and guest food trucks on select Saturdays.

Public Art Benches

The Woodlands Public Art Bench Project allowed local, national, and international artists to add their own flare to Town Center by contributing a custom built bench. The Woodlands Art Council oversees the benches up to installation prior to handing them off to the The Woodlands Township for the foreseeable future of said benches.
