The Largest Village in The Woodlands
Designed with an emphasis on outdoor recreation Creekside Park Village is the ninth and largest village at 3,492 acres. The Village of Creekside Park opened in October of 2007 and includes 1,850 acres of park lands, communing with nature. These include the 1,700-acre George Mitchell Nature Preserve, named in honor of The Woodlands’ founder, George Mitchell; and Rob Fleming Park, the 20+-acre recreation area named for the late Rob Fleming, naturalist and illustrator at Texas Parks & Wildlife. The George Mitchell Nature Preserve features seven miles of frontage along Spring Creek, and is part of the Spring Creek Greenway Project, an initiative of Montgomery and Harris County to amass 33 miles of Spring Creek frontage for a regional nature trail system. Creekside Park Village has some distinct differences from the other villages in The Woodlands Township. The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389, and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County.
Creekside Park Village is the last of the Villages to open in The Woodlands and continues to grow. The village borders along The George Mitchell Nature Preserve (seven miles of frontage along Spring Creek) a part of the Spring Creek Greenway Project, and includes several public parks as well as The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park.
