Monitoring the Waste Management contract, providing an integrated residential solid waste plan for the community. Services include weekly curbside collection of garbage, recyclables and yard trimmings.

The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department operates and maintains roughly 150 parks, more than 1,800 acres of open green-space, nearly 210 miles of hike and bike paths, and 14 swimming pools for residents to enjoy. We invite you to explore everything that Parks and Recreation has to offer!

The Woodlands Express Park and Ride

The Woodlands Express service provides a comfortable, convenient and economical way to commute. Destinations include the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, as well as the Central Business District of Houston. Scheduled service is provided Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. There are 3 park-n-ride locations in The Woodlands. Sawdust Road, Research Forest, and Sterling Ridge.
2021 update:
Service is still available to Downtown, The Medical Center, and Greenway Plaza. The midday runs back to Research Forest and Sawdust remain in place. Sterling Ridge is still temporarily closed. Passengers who typically catch the bus from the Sterling Ride location are encouraged to ride from the Research Forest or Sawdust Park and Ride locations.

Public Art Loops

Bike the Woodlands Coalition offers seven public art loop maps featuring 16 outdoor sculptures and 50+ parks, all connected by The Woodlands fabulous pathway system! These ride/walk/run loops cover many of The Woodlands' Villages.
 

Water Conservation

Water Conservation education, offering free events, classes, and seminars for residents to learn tips on incorporating conservation habits into daily routines.

Community gardens are at Bear Branch Sports-fields, Alden Bridge Sports-fields, and Wendtwoods Park.
