July 4th Fireworks Display
Written by The-Woodlands-Guide2021 July 4th Town-wide Fireworks
Due to COVID-19, the festival locations of The Woodlands Fourth of July activities have been cancelled due to the fact that it is a mass gathering of over 100 people.
The Woodlands Township will instead offer a “drive-in” fireworks display, presented by St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital, on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The 18-minute show will be launched from the campus of Lone Star College - Montgomery at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will be simulcast on KSTAR Country 99.7 FM with live coverage on The Woodlands Township’s website and Woodlands Online. To listen to the soundtrack live, spectators can download the KSTAR app by searching “KSTAR Country Radio” in the App Store or on Google Play.
Officials with The Woodlands Township encourage residents planning to see the show in person to practice social distancing refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines recommended by the CDC while viewing the fireworks. Spectators should be advised this is a drive-in fireworks display only, and should remain in or around their vehicles. Please no tailgating, tents, tables, glass or parking prior to 8 p.m. Restroom facilities will not be provided, and all trash should be disposed of offsite.

Summertime means a hot time in The Woodlands and the July 4th celebrations are no exception. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired from all launch locations at 9, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.
The 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza in The Woodlands will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. The primary fireworks display will be located near Lake Woodlands adjacent to Hughes Landing with a secondary close-proximity (special effects) display at Town Green Park. The 2020 Fireworks Extravaganza will also feature a fireworks display in the Waterway Square Entertainment District near Timberloch Place and Waterway Avenue and Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park.
The Woodlands 4th of July Fireworks show generally begins at approximately 9:30 PM and the display will be simulcast on the Internet radio station WoodlandsHits.com. Though traditionally, the fireworks have been shot from street level at Timberloch Place near Kirby's Steakhouse, beginning in 2014 due to construction along The Waterway, fireworks began being shot from two locations.
Fireworks will be fired off at four locations in The Woodlands, providing residents, friends, and neighbors ample opportunity to catch a fantastic show in the sky! In addition to the traditional locations in Town Center - Town Green Park and Lake Woodlands; once again this year additional fireworks locations include a third location in Town Center - Waterway Square - as well as a fourth location at Rob Fleming Park.

FIREWORKS VIEWING LOCATIONS
The area in and around The Woodlands Waterway has plenty of room for thousands of people to see these closeup fireworks from one of the great vantage points in the area. The Waterway Fireworks display is likely to draw the largest crowd. Because these new fireworks displays are lower to the ground than in years past, and due to the construction of the second Anadarko Tower, viewing areas which were previously available, such as Southshore Park, viewing points along The Woodlands' golf courses, Lamar Elementary, the east side of The Woodlands Mall, and all areas east of I-45 (Oak Ridge North), is expected to have obstructed viewing of the fireworks. Above all, we suggest that attendees should plan ahead and arrive early to have the most choices of viewing locations.
To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired from all launch locations at 9, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.

Please note: While Northshore Park will definitely be considered a prime viewing spot, it is being closed off for parking, as the Concert In The Park takes place there earlier in the afternoon. As such, there will likely be no parking available later in the evening before the fireworks begin. At the request of The Woodlands Township Public Safety Department, as well as local Law Enforcement, residents and visitors are being encouraged to visit other viewing areas as well. Alternatively, you can park in one of the other area lots and walk or bike to Northshore Park for fireworks viewing, so as to not contribute to any potential traffic jam in the lot and/or at the intersection. Personal use fireworks are prohibited within The Woodlands Township.
