The Woodlands will kick off a bright and beautiful holiday season with the 38th Annual Lighting of the Doves at Town Green Park on November 20, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. The event signifies the start of the Ice Skating Rink, as well as The Woodlands Texas holiday season. Attendees come together as a sign of unity for the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves, which have attracted thousands of visitors over the years. In addition, Lighting of the Doves celebrates and honors cultural diversity within The Woodlands with a variety of traditional and international performers such as dancers and more.
Please note Ice Rink operations have been modified to accommodate more stringent cleaning procedures, provide social distancing for guests in accordance with CDC guidelines and comply with local orders regarding building capacity. All visitors will be screened prior to entry and temperature checked. Masks are required for entry, but may be removed when skating.
Ice Rink guests should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household. Please note all Township events and programs are subject to cancellation pending local, state and federal Orders or Declarations.

The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center is located in its brand new, 21,000 square foot permanent home at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, 77380, near the north gate entry of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the intersection of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive. The new multi-purpose facility features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, tables for parties, and concessions.
Open Daily (November 20, 2019 - January 18, 2020), the coolest place to be in the Winter is The Ice Rink At The Woodlands Town Center, one of the largest seasonal ice rinks in the southwest. Now in it's permanent home inside The Woodlands Multi-Use Facility, adjacent to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion North Entrance.
Plentiful parking is available in the Town Center Parking Garage (free), located at the north-east corner of Six Pines Drive and Lake Robbins Drive, adjacent to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion; catty-corner at the previous home of the Ice Rink - the surface lot (charge may apply) at the northeast corner of Six Pines Drive and Lake Robbins Drive; at 24 Waterway (adjacent to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, paid); the Waterway Square Parking Garage (paid lot); or the Waterway Avenue Parking Lot (paid lot) at Waterway Avenue and Timberloch Place.

The Woodlands Township invites families and friends to enjoy ice skating during the holiday season in the 21,000-square-foot permanent multipurpose facility. The new facility, located on the grounds of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, along with tables for parties and concession stand.
The facility is utilized annually for ice skating from November through January.
