Northshore Park features public picnic areas, a public ramp for non-motorized boats and a venue for musical entertainment. Southshore Park includes an observation platform for views of 200-acre Lake Woodlands, surrounding neighborhoods and an up-close look at the Rise of the Midgard Serpent (more commonly referred to as "the dragon") which was gifted by Cynthia Woods Mitchell in celebration of the opening of the lake.

Park Facility Reservations
Permits are required to reserve a public-park-pavilion in any park facility in The Woodlands-Township-Facility reservation requests can be made online. Currently, only the pavilions are available for reservations. You must pay for your reservation within 7 days of making said reservation, or it will be deleted from the system. Fishing (catch and release only)
Please observe Catch and Release rules when fishing in The Woodlands. All lakes and ponds in The Woodlands Township are “catch and release” except for Lake Woodlands, Bear Branch Reservoir and Lake Paloma. Riva Row Boat House and or Lakes Edge Boat House do not rent or sell any fishing gear, so be sure to bring your own.
