Bear Branch Park in Cochran’s Crossing is home to the original of the Woodlands Recreation Centers, and one of the largest public parks in The Woodlands. Bear Branch Park has a taste of everything including a hockey rink, a dog friendly park, a wheel friendly area, a huge swimming (Whale) pool, all wrapped around a huge play area for the little ones. Public water sources are available and are BYOD (bring your own dish) for our canine friends. The Bear Branch Park Dog Friendly park is 2+ very shady acres, and it is separated into two sections, one for large dogs, and a second area for smaller dogs.
Covered Pavilion at Bear Branch Park
The covered outdoor sports court at Bear Branch Park is a centrally located 7,200-square-foot covered court. The year-round, all weather facility offers one regulation size court, six regulation height basketball goals, and plenty of free space for recreational activities.is open to the public seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Space rentals are available to The Woodlands Township residents and for non-residents for an additional fee for a variety of sports. Bear Branch Skate Park
The community-wide Bear Branch Skate Park in Cochran’s Crossing Village includes rails, ramps, a planter, benches, and a fire hydrant to mimic a street setting, along with in-ground concrete bowls and above ground concrete plazas. Bear Branch is the largest skate park in The Woodlands, and is designed for intermediate to advanced skaters. Bear Branch Park is directly across Research Forest Drive (south) from Bear Branch Sports Park which features numerous play fields along with an 18 hole Frisbee / Disc Golf Course.
