Halloween Activities for Everyone
Get ready for variety of fun Halloween events in The Woodlands!
Once every year the community comes to see a scare and will be waiting for you in your Nightmares! The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is presents all-age annual Halloween Activities in The Woodlands Texas.
Some additional Halloween Activities are produced in conjunction with Woody Pines Sports. The first adult-only Halloween event, Birdies and Boo’s will be presented at The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park. Come play the 9-hole Halloween putt putt course and have a few beverages provided by Woody Pine Sports on Sat Oct 14, 2023 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM. This isn’t a trick – and it will be a treat!
Friday The 13th @ Rob Fleming Park
Pick your poison Friday, October 13, 2023, at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park campus featuring some frightfully fun options. Whether you catch a classic horror film or experience the Tree-Top-Terror night-climb at Texas TreeVentures, be ready for some scares lurking on the campus on this frightful night.
HALLOWEEN PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Ages 18+
A friendly pickleball tournament with a Halloween theme. All levels welcome and court assignments will be based on skill level. Costumes encouraged.

Annual Haunted Trail 2023
Due to some major improvements to the Bear Branch Park this fall (2022), including a covered multi-use rink, and a splashpad, The Haunted Trail will not be held this year but it will be back! Meanwhile, check out the Haunted Happenings for all ages this October ranging all ages and fright levels in The Woodlands!
HAUNTED ARCHERY CHALLENGE
Ages 8+
Monsters have come out of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve! Help us save the range and learn a little about archery on the way. This hour and a half class will include archery instruction and a spooky game to practice the skills you have learned.

Hocus Pocus Pops – Houston Symphony
Around here, Hocus Pocus Pops might be an even bigger deal than Halloween itself! There’s all the trick-or-treating and kiddos in costumes and ghastly guys and ghouls…plus the haunting Houston Symphony in all its sinister splendor. Expect creepy classics like character pictures, the Halloween Express and, of course, the Goblin Parade to make their return. We’ll also have some scary surprises in store just for you and your family! Maybe you’re in it for the terrifying tunes played from our Main Stage, or maybe you’re just in it for the candy – either way, we can’t wait to have you haunt our lawn once more!

Trick or Treat – Monster Mash
Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins are invited to don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual Trick or Treat Trail featuring Monster Mash at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center (NEW LOCATION)!
Children can trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from local vendors. This free event also includes strolling entertainment, carnival games, costume contests, photo areas, food trucks and more!

Costume Contests will take place at 2:15, 3, 3:45, 4:30 and 5:15 p.m.
Participants may only compete in one contest and, must be in the Costume Contest Corral prior to the start of the contest to participate. Once the contest begins, no additional participants will be added. Participants will receive a number in the Costume Contest Corral and wear it until the end of the contest.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 costumes per contest. There will be a maximum of 50 participants per contest. No age group or categories. Coolers, picnic baskets. blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.
Pumpkin Smash
Instead of putting your jack-o-lantern in the trash, bring it to the Pumpkin Smash! This FREE event provides a unique opportunity for residents to dispose of their Halloween pumpkins.
