The Village of Grogan's Mill The Woodlands Texas

The first village to be opened in The Woodlands Texas

The Village of Grogan’s Mill is the first Village of The Woodlands, and is bordered by The Woodlands Town Center to the north, Interstate 45 to the east, the northern reaches of unincorporated Montgomery County commonly referred to as Spring to the south and the Village of Panther Creek to the west along the eastern shore of Lake Woodlands and East Shore.

The original village of The Woodlands is named after the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Company, former land and mill owner. The opening ceremony of Grogan’s Mill was commemorated with a flag-raising, and a celebrity appearance by William Shatner in 1974. Known as “the gateway to The Woodlands,” the Village of Grogan’s Mill is in the starting point of The Woodlands and is home to The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.

The Woodlands Public Art Bench Project
