Creekside Park opened in October 2007, the newest of the eight villages in The Woodlands. It’s named for nearby Spring Creek. It’s also the only village in Harris County; the other seven are in Montgomery County. Community Impact put the village at about 3,500 acres in 2017, with about 7,000 homes planned when it’s built out. Addresses here use the 77375 and 77389 ZIP codes.

Parks
Rob Fleming Park, at 6055 Creekside Forest Drive, is the village’s main park. It has a playground, a dog park, a covered picnic area, restrooms and a bluebonnet meadow that draws photographers in spring. The Lodge, a covered pavilion with a kitchen and fireplace, can be booked for events. The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, has an indoor basketball court and meeting rooms, and the Texas TreeVentures adventure course is close by.
Wendtwoods Park, 8950 Creekside Green Drive, covers the sports side: ball fields, multipurpose fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, a fishing pond and community and conservation gardens. Mariposa Pond Park, on Creekside Forest Drive, and Lake Voyageur Pond Park, on E. Cresta Bend Place, are quiet fishing ponds. Village Green Park, on Kuykendahl Road, has a sprayground with shaded picnic tables.

George Mitchell Nature Preserve
The 1,800-acre preserve, named for The Woodlands’ founder, sits beside the village along the Spring Creek Greenway. Its trails are open to hikers and bikers, and there’s a nature trail and an orienteering course. The Township lists the Flintridge Drive trailhead as the way in.

Pools
- Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, 6535 Creekside Forest Drive: a 500-foot lazy river, a two-story flume slide, lap lanes, a baby pool and a play structure with a 150-gallon dump bucket.
- Wendtwoods Pool, 8950 Creekside Green Drive: zero-depth entry, a current channel, a lily pad walk and two lap lanes.
Both are seasonal. The Township has closed its pools for the rest of 2026, so check the pool schedule before going.

The Woodlands Texas Activities Guide
The Woodlands Sculptures
The Woodlands is home to one of the largest collections of public art in the State of Texas. From mosaics and sculptures to a growing collection of art benches, there are many pieces to view, and enjoy. Make plans to visit the various mosaics, sculptures and a collection of art-benches, to view, enjoy, and of course, have a sit and a selfie!
The Woodlands Public Parks
Public Parks offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. A public park in The Woodlands is a short bike ride, or a nice stroll away along a nearby pathway. Wheel Friendly Parks are located in several villages, and the softer surface of Millbend Linear Loop in Grogan’s Mill Village is favored by joggers.
The Woodlands Public Art Bench Project
The Woodlands Public Art Bench Project allowed local, national, and international artists to add their own flair to Town Center by contributing a custom built bench. The Woodlands Art Council oversees the benches up to installation prior to handing them off to The Woodlands Township for the foreseeable future of said benches.
