The Village of Indian Springs lies on the northern border of Spring Creek opened 1984. The discovery of indian artifacts from the Bidai tribe of Atakapan Indians led to this Village's unique name. In the early eighteenth century, the Bidai ranged across most of the land that would eventually become Montgomery County, Texas.
By around 1900, virtually no trace of the tribe remained - until the artifacts were unearthed in 1984. This secluded village now consists of more than 2,100 homes and 6,345 residents. This is the only village featuring hilly terrain - perfect for the athlete in training. The John cooper School, a private college preparatory academy for grades K-12 is located in this village, as well as the Interfaith Child Development Center. The renowned John Cooper School, a private college preparatory academy for students in grades K-12, is located in Indian Springs. Interfaith Child Development Center, one of the largest pre-school/child care centers, is also in this village.
