The Woodlands Texas Swim Teams
The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department
offers group, and private swimming lessons for all ages.
The Woodlands is also home to five swim teams, The Cyclones TAAF Swim Team, The Hurricanes Swim Club, The Riptides Swim Team, The Waves Swim Team, as well as The Woodlands Junior Swim Team, designed to teach the strokes and skills needed to swim competitively with the other teams. The Woodlands Swim Team (TWST), and The Woodlands Marlins (an NWAL team) also call The Woodlands home. Proficient swimming capabilities are pre-requisite to join a Woodlands Swim Team.
Join a Woodlands Swim Team
To qualify for a younger swim team , swimmers ages 5 and older must demonstrate prerequisite abilities of swimming freestyle and backstroke, swim 25 yards in one minute. If your child isn’t ready to move up to swim team with all the needed skills, start with the Junior Swim Team; please note: this is not a learn-to-swim program. All swimmers must be age 4 and older and able to swim the length of the pool. Junior Swim Team Fees are $65 for residents, and $75 for non-resident swimmers, per month. One-on-one swimming lessons in The Woodlands are available for all skill levels, 30-minute sessions. Bear Branch Pool
The Bear Branch Pool is located in Bear Branch Park, in the Village of Cochran's Crossing, .
Cranebrook Spray Pool
The Cranebrook Splash Pool in Cranebrook Park, on Cranebrook Drive in the Village of Serling Ridge.
Creekwood Pool
Creekwood Pool aka Panther Pool, is located in the Village Panther Creek, across from Mccullough J High School.
Fleming Aquatic Center
Rob Fleming Aquatic Center in the Village of Creekside Park is a very popular summertime hangout.
Forestgate Pool
Aka The Octopus Pool, Forestgate Swimming Pool features a baby-pool / slide as well as a larger slide for older children and adults.
Harper's Landing Pool
Harper's Landing Pool, the only pool in the Village of College Park. is connected to Harper's Landing Park.
Lakeside Pool
Lakeside Pool 1/3 in the Village of Alden Bridge; the home of The Woodlands Hurricanes swim club.
Ridgewood Pool
Aka Swan Pool, Ridgewood Pool in Panther Creek offers adult swimming, along features a splash area, and a baby friendly pool and slide.
Sawmill Pool
Sawmill Dragon Pool in Grogan's Mill Village features a partially covered, small child area with slide.
Shadowbend Pool
Shadowbend Pool, aka the Log Pool, features a sprayground area in Village of Cochran's Crossing.
Wendtwoods Pool
Wendtwoods Sprayground Pool in Creekside Park is a smaller version of the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center.
There are several spray-grounds in The Woodlands which are open to the community, allowing for visitors who want to splash around in the water without actually swimming.
